| Description: |
These boats were intended as a tander for a large yacht 50ft. A fleet of abot 38 boats was raced at Portchester until about 1960 and many were also built as school boats along the South coast. Drake is a replica built of gluued clinker. Apart from the ply most of the material is recycled from old boats old furniture etc. and apart from the sail the greatest cot is probably the glue and varnish. I deliberatly did not keep an acount but it was certainly less than 800.
We have managed to sail at 3 Semaine du Golfes and all the Seafairs so far. |
