Venues

Lawrenny is the home venue for the whole event including 'Sail and Oar' and keel boats.   There is a pub with entertainment most nights, a Sports Club and a camp site for 100 tents. Lawrenny was well received last time for those that stayed there.  Look at the website Lawrenny Village for information about the village and for Campsite instructions.

Neyland Yacht Haven is also open to visiting vessels providing excellent facilities, chandlery and tearoom.

Saturday 11th June

High Tide BST 1135am, height 5.9m

Register and set up camp in the host Port of Lawrenny and then soak up the atmosphere of the Annual Lawrenny Yacht Club Regatta.  On shore there is the annual Beer/Cider Festival specialising in local craft beers held at the Lawrenny Arms followed by Henry Martin's Ghost Band,  traditional irish entertainment for the evening. 

Milford Haven Founders Day 10am-4pm, Charles Street, Pulic fun day.  The Apprentice Ship Cup.  Two Tall Ships will be in Milford Docks, Bessie Ellen and TS Pelican open to the public.  The Milford Haven Museum will be open free to the public.  Olga Pilot Cutter will be in Milford Docks.

The Classic Schooner Johanna Lucretia Will be DAY SAILING.

Challenge Wales Round The World Yacht will be sailing from Cardiff to Saundersfoot.

Sunday 12th June

Free sailing. Registration continues and for those who arrived on Saturday this is your chance to get your bearings with free sailing around the upper reaches of the Cleddau estuary with our knowledgeable fleet crews available to answer any navigation questions you may have.

Tall Ships still in Milford Docks, joined by Challenge Wales. 

" Lawrenny " reconnect with nature and each other on this 3 mile guided walk 2:30pm to 6:00pm. Reconnect are passionate about helping people connect with nature and each other, join some of the group as they uncover some of the history, wildlife and nature along the peaceful paths of Lawrenny, www.reconnectinnature.org.uk
Meet at Lawrenny Church. Free - donations welcome.

Monday 13th June

Morning briefings

Following the morning briefing all fleets depart for the first escorted sail of the week to Landshipping passing the beautiful hamlet of Coedcanlas and former fishing village of Llangwm to collect your preordered packed lunches on shore at Landshipping where a local historian will be on hand to tell some interesting tales of the waterway before returning to enjoy quiz night at the Lawrenny Arms.

Tuesday 14th June

H Tide BST 1438, height 5.3 metres

Morning briefings

The fleet will set sail to Angle/Pembroke Pool. Lunch for larger vessel fleet at the Old Point House, Angle, smaller vessels will be guided up to Pembroke Pool by experienced local historian David James.   Returning to afternoon/ evening entertainment at Neyland Yacht Club, live music, delicious food. Crews will have the option of staying overnight at Neyland (where there will be hot showers!) or returning to Lawrenny via the complimentary bus at 9.30pm

Wednesday 15th June

No morning briefing today - free sail.

For those who returned to Lawrenny via bus the night before you will be dropped back at your vessels to take advantage of the days free sail returning to Lawrenny for evening entertainment.

Olga aims to sail for bird watching and photography around Skomer.

Thursday 16th June

High Tide BST 1636, height 5.8m

Morning briefings will confirm the destinations, weather dependent.

The fleets are likely to split today and larger vessels may sail to Dale with lunch at Dale Yacht Club (if tides and weather look possible) and the sail and oar fleets enjoying an escorted sail up the Carew River, in the picturesque upper reaches of the estuary.

Return in the evening for all fleets to Lawrenny Arms to a party to include the performance of one Welsh Lady's Voice Choir and one Mixed Choir from 7:30 pm.

Friday 17th June

High Tide BST 1722, height 6 metres.

Morning briefings

The day will be left for the crews to explore the local area before assembling mid afternoon for an escorted sail to Cresswell Quay and an early evening BBQ at Cresswell Quay.  On return to Lawrenny an evening of Sea Shanties with Morladron Y Borth at the Lawrenny Arms.

Saturday 18th June

H Tide BST, height 6.3 metres

Crews will be invited to participate in the Parade of Sail which will set off from Lawrenny and sail to Neyland and around to return to Lawrenny or onwards to sea as the participants wish!

From 3pm there will be the wonderful Strawberry Tea at Knowles Farm, Lawrenny -an annual institution which means you have to eat scones, cake strawberries and drink gallons of tea - for charity!

There will be a Farewell Twmpath/ Ceilidh with 'O'Ceilidh' in the evening at the Lawrenny Arms that you might not wish to miss!
